The introduction of a fully discrete DAC architecture marks a milestone in LUMIN’s digital evolution. By building the converter from individually selected components, every aspect of the digital-to-analogue process can be precisely optimised, from circuit topology and power delivery to clocking and signal integrity.

Tailored to the LUMIN streaming engine, this cohesive and stable foundation sets the stage for the next chapter of the flagship design.

A new core

This fully custom DAC sits at the heart of a redesigned system. Circuit layout, power management, and clocking have all been carefully tuned for maximum coherence, ensuring exceptional precision in network audio reproduction.

Controlled signal path

Designed from the ground up, each stage of the DAC has been optimised for component placement and routing to minimise interference and preserve channel separation.

Low-noise operation

Custom circuitry and refined power management reduce electrical noise and interference, allowing the DAC to operate within a highly controlled and stable environment.

Reduced timing errors

The discrete architecture enables direct implementation of clocking and conversion stages without intermediate frequency dividers, supporting precise timing and reduced jitter throughout the signal path.
