Hz Project

The South Korean brand HzProject, also known as Hz Audio, produces high-end digital audio equipment with a single aim: to ensure that what comes out of it is not just ‘sound’, but music. Its portfolio comprises music servers with a streamer and network transport, as well as LAN isolators that protect the audio system from interference from the home network. HzProject servers are designed to work without any computer knowledge – simply plug them in and your music library and streaming services are immediately available.

What sets HzProject apart is its emphasis on precision engineering and ultra-quiet operation. The servers utilise a dual linear power supply with two transformers and independent branches for individual components, a high-precision OCXO clock for both the motherboard and the network interface, and a low-noise processor with a customised BIOS. The solid aluminium chassis, 15 mm thick, rests on Stillpoints isolators; the music and operating system have their own shielded storage drives, and mains isolators provide galvanic isolation for the audio path. The result is playback with exceptional clarity, detail and musical texture, thanks to which HzProject is gaining recognition in modern digital audio systems.
