The Polish brand Fezz Audio was founded in 2016 in the picturesque Podlasie region in north-eastern Poland. It was founded by Maciej Lachowski, who runs it alongside his brother Tomasz, and its roots run deeper than one might think. Since 1991, the Lachowski family has owned Toroidy.pl, a renowned manufacturer of toroidal transformers, and it is precisely this experience that forms the basis of Fezz’s sound. The name itself is also an interesting story – it originated from the way Maciej’s young daughter pronounced the Polish word ‘pies’, meaning ‘dog’.
Fezz Audio specialises in valve amplifiers, which are among the few in the world to use toroidal output transformers manufactured in-house by the family. The company manufactures most of its components in-house, which enables it to maintain high quality at a surprisingly affordable price. The product range includes integrated and power amplifiers, preamplifiers, phono preamplifiers, headphone amplifiers and D/A converters. The devices are characterised by their compact design, precise workmanship and a wide range of colour options that will liven up any interior. Meanwhile, the team of engineers in Podlasie is constantly refining the products so that each new generation brings even more musical enjoyment.
