Protective Cover Yamaha DCV-5000
Description
Protective cover made of 5 mm clear acrylic designed specifically for the Yamaha GT-5000 turntable
The DCV-5000 is a dust cover for the Yamaha GT-5000 turntable, designed as a precisely fitting accessory for this model. It protects the unit from dust, scratches and spills, while its shape and appearance follow the styling of the 5000 Series. The dimensions of 538 × 90 × 389 mm and a weight of 2.1 kg match the construction of the turntable for which the cover is intended.
The cover is made of clear acrylic with a thickness of 5 mm, which contributes to dimensional stability and resistance to mechanical damage during normal handling. The transparent design keeps the platter and tonearm visually accessible, while the hardened material extends the service life of the turntable's surfaces by limiting the build-up of dust on the record, cartridge and mechanism.

Yamaha
Yamaha is one of the few hi-fi manufacturers that also builds concert grand pianos and wind instruments. When developing an amplifier or a speaker system, therefore, it does not have to guess what a real instrument should sound like, as it has one to hand and can compare the sound to it. This forms the basis of a principle the brand has adhered to since the 1970s, known as ‘Natural Sound’: sound without embellishment and without any inherent colouration. In 1974, this principle was established by the NS-1000 loudspeakers with beryllium drivers, and ever since it has guided everything Yamaha produces for home listening, from turntables and amplifiers right through to AV receivers and wireless systems. Anyone looking for a sound that neither enhances nor embellishes a recording in any way will find exactly that with Yamaha.
