Description
The Rockna Wavelight Server (WLS) is a High-End music server and network transport designed as an ideal digital companion for the Wavelight and Wavedream DACs, as well as third-party converters via I2S, USB, AES/EBU, SPDIF, and Optical outputs. Driven by a low-TDP computing core running custom Linux, a linear power supply, and a dedicated FPGA/DSP engine, it handles hardware-level format upsampling and PCM-to-DSD512 transcoding without straining the main CPU, keeping heat and RF interference to a minimum. Featuring configurable internal storage from 2 TB to 16 TB, automated CD ripping, and support for Roon, MPD, LMS, UPnP, and HQPlayer protocols, the WLS offers comprehensive library management and complete software/FPGA firmware upgradeability through a browser-based interface.
