Description
The Taiko Audio SGM Extreme is a flagship music server and streaming transport engineered to deliver reference-grade digital playback from local libraries and high-resolution services like Qobuz and Tidal. Built around a dual Xeon CPU architecture in a massive aircraft-grade aluminum chassis with copper/Panzerholz damping, it runs custom-optimized Roon software with process-allocation that eliminates interface-induced sonic degradation. The server utilizes ultra-fast PCIe storage (up to 64TB) bypassing DMI bottlenecks, hand-selected matched RAM modules, and a custom 240W passive solid-copper cooling system. Powered by an internal 400W multi-stage ultra-linear power supply featuring Lundahl chokes and Duelund/Mundorf capacitors, the Extreme achieves exceptional timing precision, an ultra-low noise floor, and uncompromised digital transparency.
