Description
The LUMIN D3 is an entry-level audiophile network music streamer engineered to make high-resolution digital playback accessible within a compact form factor. Upgraded with an all-aluminum chassis featuring a CNC-milled front panel and a silky anti-fingerprint surface finish, it replaces the previous steel enclosure for improved mechanical damping. The digital-to-analog stage centers on an ESS SABRE ES9028Pro DAC paired with an analog buffer derived from the flagship LUMIN X1, delivering ultra-low noise and high dynamic range across fully balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs. Driven by LUMIN’s latest processing architecture, it supports flexible upsampling and downsampling up to DSD256 and PCM384, alongside Leedh Processing lossless digital volume control. Streaming functionality encompasses Roon Ready certification, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, and MQA decoding via the LUMIN application.
