The Jadis JA170 is a reference monoblock tube power amplifier created to celebrate Jadis’ 40th anniversary, featuring the brand's iconic square chassis design, polished stainless-steel construction, and 24-carat gold-plated faceplates. At the core of each monoblock is a dual push-pull output stage utilizing four Tung-Sol KT170 beam tetrodes operating in pure Class A, driven by high-gain ECC83 and medium-gain ECC82 double triodes. To accommodate the intense quiescent current required for pure Class A operation, Jadis incorporates custom-wound, resin-damped output transformers along with an oversized power supply using independent secondary windings and transistor-regulated high voltage. Hand-built using point-to-point air wiring and equipped with proprietary speaker terminals and high-grade RCA inputs, the JA170 monoblocks deliver an extraordinarily anchored, holographic soundstage, remarkable dynamic agility, refined warmth, and an lifelike sense of presence and realism.
