Description

The Pass Labs HPA-1c is a reference-grade Class A headphone amplifier and line-level preamplifier engineered to deliver exceptional micro-detail, signal purity, and dynamic drive. Upgraded from the original HPA-1 design, it features an enhanced power supply, optimized circuit board grounding, local regulation for its servo circuitry, and a 10 dB improvement in overall noise performance for an exceptionally dark background. Capable of outputting 2 Watts into 32 Ohms with a low 2 Ohm output impedance, it effortlessly drives low-impedance, high-sensitivity, and planar magnetic headphones. With its robust output stage and low-impedance line outputs, the discrete Class A HPA-1c functions seamlessly as a high-performance preamplifier in two-channel audio systems.
