So what could be more logical than reviving these wonderful shapes and materials?” (Michael Willberg, Founder and CEO) When considering such a project, only a limited reissue (since I want to build them myself), with improved functionality and state-of-the-art acoustics, comes into question. It was therefore obvious to tune and adapt the famous, legendary GTC driver from the Edition 15 for the Founders Series. The result is a sound that takes your breath away. While Editions 8, 10, and 12 were already reference class in their time, the Founders Series based on them clearly surpass them. All models can also be operated in balanced mode when using an appropriate cable. The very special advantages of extremely good passive noise isolation in the closed version, and extreme airiness further enhanced by Venturi channels in the open version, come into their own with the new tuning. In addition, there is a detachable MMCX cable, depending on the version one or two transport pouches, a case made of wood or leather, and sometimes even a wooden stand included. However, this — just like the material combination — is a surprise. You can choose between open or closed. Which variant you receive — whether with a headband made of wood, aluminum, carbon, mother-of-pearl, ceramic, with aluminum, ruthenium (gloss or matt), PVD or palladium-finished ear cups, with a black or silver headband, and so on — is a surprise. The only certainty: you will receive a highly exclusive, unique product, sometimes even a one-of-a-kind piece.
