In this second generation, every element has been re-engineered to deliver refined low-end dynamics and a remarkably natural reproduction of voices and instruments. A significant update is the transition to a 4-ohm impedance, allowing the monitor to take full advantage of an amplifier's power, resulting in increased dynamics and the ability to fill larger rooms. The heart of the system is a custom Norwegian Seas woofer featuring a phase plug and a lightweight aluminum-copper voice coil, ensuring precise midbass structure and a resonance-free midrange. The high frequencies are handled by an updated Scan-Speak neodymium tweeter with a dual resonance chamber, providing exceptional microdynamics and detail. The redesigned cabinet, featuring a steeper tilt for perfect time alignment and internal damping with natural sheep’s wool, ensures a clean and clear soundstage.
