The Diamond 28 mkII represents a comprehensive refinement of Pylon Audio's most popular floor-standing speaker, where every critical component has been re-engineered for superior musicality. This 2.5-way system features a unique driver configuration using custom-designed Norwegian Seas woofers. The upper driver, equipped with a phase plug and lightweight voice coil, handles the midrange with exceptional neutrality, while the lower woofer, featuring a massive magnetic circuit, ensures deep and controlled low frequencies. By bringing these drivers closer together, the Diamond 28 mkII achieves a highly consistent soundstage that is less sensitive to listening height. The high-frequency range is handled by an updated Scan-Speak neodymium tweeter with a dual resonance chamber, delivering enhanced microdynamics and detail. The redesigned cabinet features a steeper tilt for optimized time alignment, internal reinforcements, and damping with natural sheep’s wool. Finished with a sleek, minimalistic aesthetic and an anti-reflective rubber tweeter front, the Diamond 28 mkII offers a perfect balance of speed, depth, and transparency.
