The Amber mkII is a high-efficiency loudspeaker system designed to deliver impressive scale and a dynamic soundstage. This two-way design is engineered to generate high acoustic pressure even when paired with low-power amplifiers, making it an excellent match for tube amplification. By carefully setting the crossover frequency at 1200 Hz, Pylon Audio has achieved a sound that is balanced and natural, avoiding the typical harshness often associated with horn-loaded designs. The low frequencies are handled by two 12-inch high-efficiency cellulose drivers that provide a fast and powerful foundation. The midrange and high frequencies are managed by a professional-grade compression driver from the German manufacturer BMS, integrated into a custom-designed Tractrix profile horn. This combination ensures a wide frequency response with minimal coloration, offering a compelling blend of raw energy and refined musicality that brings a live-performance feel to your listening room.
