Description

The Ypsilon Aelius II is a reference push-pull hybrid monoblock power amplifier engineered to deliver massive dynamic output, speaker control, and pure musical involvement. Its minimalist hybrid topology features only two gain stages with zero global feedback: a single-ended Class A vacuum tube input stage coupled directly to the output stage via a custom wide-bandwidth (10 Hz – 75 kHz) interstage transformer. The inclusion of a bespoke input transformer enables a fully balanced XLR signal path without adding active components. Its unique output stage utilizes same-polarity N-channel MOSFET components operating in a bridge-balanced symmetrical topology, supported by high-current inductor-filtered power supplies to deliver effortless current drive, ultra-low noise floor, and complete signal purity.

Ypsilon Electronics

Ypsilon Electronics is a Greek company that was founded in 1995 by Demetris Baklavas and Fanis Lagadinos, two passionate sound engineers with experience in electronic engineering and a career in setting up audio systems for live concerts. Working with live music, live concerts and especially a technical background in electronics led the two gentlemen to the idea of developing audio components that can reproduce music in a way faithful to the original recording.
