The MOON 820S is a reference power supply upgrade designed to enhance the performance of up to two compatible MOON components simultaneously. It features dedicated, independent power supplies for analog and digital circuitry, each utilizing a custom low-loss toroidal transformer. The filtering stage incorporates two "pi-type" filters per section with 40,000 µF of capacitance and dual choke inductance (2x 20 mH) to effectively eliminate AC line noise. Signal regulation relies on four stages of MOON's proprietary M-R2S discrete voltage regulation circuit per supply, providing ripple-free DC power with ultra-fast transient response and near-zero noise. Housed in a low-resonance chassis with 4-layer copper printed circuit boards, the 820S significantly reduces overall system noise floor while improving dynamic contrast, soundstage separation, and low-end authority.
