The Edition 15 and Edition 15 Veritas are the successors to the highly successful Edition 5, retaining all of its strengths while avoiding the minor weaknesses of that model.
Our customers told us that the sound of the Edition 5 was too dry and that they wished for a softer, more musical presentation in the lower and mid-frequency ranges.
After an intensive development and research phase, we created a new transducer combining the best of both worlds. The GTC transducer (Gold-Titanium-Compound) uses the gold-coated part of the dome for bass and mids, while the titanium-coated section reproduces the upper and highest frequencies.
In this way, the semi-open Edition 15 and the closed Edition 15 Veritas combine warmth and musicality with absolute precision, resulting in a uniquely sounding headphone for demanding audiophiles.
Whether you prefer the semi-open or closed version depends on your listening preferences and environment. Both versions feature cherry-wood capsule frames with a smooth, finely sanded and waxed finish, metal plaques, aluminum headband, magnetically attached ear pads, and LEMO connectors for the detachable 1.4-meter cable (balanced ready) or the 3.0-meter cable, as well as a leather-covered case for safe storage.

Great products – but far from perfect. Improving spatial hearing was a clear goal for creating better headphones. After four years of intensive research, the first patent was applied for and a year later ULTRASONE was founded.
