XLR adapter for bridging two-channel MOON amplifiers into monoblock mode
XLR Bridge is an adapter interconnect cable with a balanced XLR connector that allows two-channel MOON amplifiers to be operated in bridged mode as monoblocks. It is intended for the MOON 330A, 860A and 870A models, and it also works with most of the brand's older models — specific compatibility is best verified with your dealer.
The cable is approximately 30 cm (12") long and connects to the balanced interconnect you are already using, so it does not replace your existing signal path but complements it with the signal distribution required for bridged operation. It is supplied in pairs, i.e. for the two amplifiers forming a monoblock configuration. Shipping weight is 0.5 kg.
Bridging two channels into a single output increases the power available to a given loudspeaker and contributes to better control over the load with more demanding speakers. The use of balanced XLR wiring preserves the original connection topology between the preamplifier and the power stage.
