The American company Ayre Acoustics was founded in 1993 by Charles Hansen in Boulder, Colorado, where all its products are still manufactured today. Hansen led the company for 25 years, and his passion for the purity of music reproduction gave rise to equipment that made no compromises. Following his death in 2017, a team led by long-standing Technical Director Ariel Brown continues his legacy. Each component is hand-assembled in Boulder by experienced technicians, with rigorous quality control and a focus on American suppliers.
At the heart of all Ayre products lies a fully balanced design with zero feedback and an exceptional focus on power supply quality. The brand also develops its own technologies, such as solutions for USB D/A converters and a digital filter with minimal phase distortion, and is constantly refining them.
