The Wadax Studio PSU is a standalone power supply designed to feed a pair of Studio series components. It offers two dedicated outputs, one serving the Studio Player and the other the Studio Clock. Connection is handled by the specially developed Akasa DC Studio Cable, so the power and signal sections of the system form a single, structurally matched whole.
The design is based on the same brand's flagship Reference PSU. The circuit solution employs more than 800 carefully selected components, including a pair of custom 500 VA transformers. A power section dimensioned in this way contributes to the high quality of the current delivered and reduces the ingress of noise into the powered devices.
The whole is housed in a robust 32 kg chassis with advanced resonance control. Suppressing mechanical vibration limits its transmission to sensitive circuits, which translates into a more stable background to the recording and a more legible rendering of detail. The same approach is applied to the connection as well: the Akasa DC Studio cable uses a mono-crystal copper conductor in a uni-lattice structure, complemented by a solution for damping mechanical resonances.
The cable is finished with an artisanal silk braid and is supplied as standard in a 1 metre length, with other lengths available on request. The power supply is thus a logical extension of the Studio system, allowing the power section to be separated from both the player and the clock.
What sets Wadax apart is their relentless innovation and proprietary technologies. Their designs integrate cutting-edge digital engineering, custom hardware architectures, and unique noise-reduction solutions to preserve every nuance of a recording. By combining precision electronics with artisanal craftsmanship, Wadax achieves playback that is both technically groundbreaking and emotionally engaging. This fusion of advanced research and refined execution allows listeners to experience music with unmatched depth, clarity, and naturalness.
