The HiFiStay Stella 60 Double Swing is an anti-vibration footer from the Galaxia series, designed to isolate High-End audio components from mechanical vibration. The construction is built around stainless steel, which is roughly 2.5 times harder and heavier than aluminium, and around a stable pyramid structure with a high load capacity. Dimensionally it is a compact element measuring 19.5 mm in height and 60 mm in diameter, suitable under loudspeakers, amplifiers or audio racks.
At the heart of the design is a three-level layered structure of the Double Swing type, in which each layer holds three zirconia ceramic balls. These allow controlled movement of the individual layers against one another, damping the transmitted energy and preventing it from travelling back into the connected device. An ultra-low centre of gravity below 9 mm keeps the whole assembly stable even under higher loads — a single piece supports up to 30 kg, so a set of four handles a component weighing up to 120 kg.
Reducing mechanical interference shows up in the clarity of the reproduction: the higher mass of stainless steel contributes to greater midrange density, while the vibration damping stabilises the working conditions of both the electronics and the drivers. The result is a calmer foundation to the recording and more precise placement of instruments within the stereo image.
A practical feature is the interchangeable top section, which can be adapted to devices with spikes as well as those with a flat base. The footer therefore does not act as a passive metal block, but as a mechanical vibration-control system with flexible mounting under various types of components.
