The HiFiStay Soft Jelly is an anti-vibration isolation footer from the Source Devices series, designed to suppress unwanted resonances across a wide frequency range. It is intended for use under CD transports, DA converters, music servers, amplifiers and network devices — in other words, under components whose signal path is sensitive to mechanical interference. The footer measures 50 mm in diameter, its height is adjustable from 22 to 27 mm and the maximum load capacity reaches 30 kg per piece.
The core of the design is a multi-layer structure divided into three sections, each of them fitted with separate bearings. The upper part houses a screw-mounted ceramic bearing that completes the overall support scheme. This layering makes it possible to handle different types of vibration with varying amplitude and frequency, instead of damping a single narrow band.
The second design principle is a natural pendulum motion technique, which disperses micro-vibrations smoothly rather than damping them abruptly. Energy is drained away gradually, without suppressing the natural decay. The result is a more accurate tonal character, clearer detail retrieval across the whole band and more stable dynamics while preserving the original playback volume level.
Every HiFiStay accessory is based on its own engineering principle and addresses a specific task within mechanical isolation. The Soft Jelly builds on a combination of compact dimensions, high load capacity and a sophisticated bearing arrangement, which makes it especially useful in premium systems where resolution is limited precisely by the mechanical noise floor.
The South Korean brand HIFISTAY™ specialises in the development and manufacture of hi-fi audio accessories that suppress unwanted vibrations, thereby improving sound quality. Its founder and chief designer, Pyun Naiwon, started out modestly in 2002 – with a presser weight for vinyl records. From these humble beginnings, the company has grown into a business that now manufactures a complete range of anti-vibration solutions and protects its know-how with several patents. HIFISTAY’s philosophy is based on a simple realisation: sound quality is determined not only by the components themselves, but also by what they stand on. Vibrations from the floor, from the speakers and from the equipment itself can obscure details, narrow the soundstage and compromise the precision of the bass.
At the heart of the range are audio racks that utilise proprietary VHC™ (Vertical Horizon Vibration Control), X-Frame & Perfect Pointer™ and Anti-gravity™ technologies, designed to dampen vibrations in both vertical and horizontal directions. The range is complemented by mats and stands for components, spikes and spike pads, as well as weighted dampers, which can be used to fine-tune every element of the system – from turntables and sources through to amplifiers and speakers. You’ll appreciate HIFISTAY accessories whether you’re building a new system or want to extract even more clarity, tranquillity and musical precision from your current setup.
