The CrystalConnect Monet is a digital USB cable with type A and type B connectors, designed to link a computer, server or streamer to an external D/A converter. The signal path is built from Infinite Crystal Silver conductors, a conductive material with a minimised number of crystal boundaries in the metal structure.
In ordinary conductors, the transitions between individual crystals act as points where reflections and distortion of high-frequency content occur. The monocrystalline structure of the silver conductive layer reduces these discontinuities, which contributes to a more stable transfer of both the data stream and the power rail of the USB bus. The USB A – USB B configuration matches the standard connection of asynchronous USB inputs in hi-fi converters.
In practice, higher-quality digital transfer shows up as a lower error rate when the clock signal is recovered at the DAC end. The result is more legible microdynamics, more precise localisation of instruments within the stereo image and a calmer background to the recording, without adding any tonal colouration.

Crystal Cable
The Dutch company Crystal Cable has been manufacturing top-quality cables since 2004. It is led by Gabi van der Kleij-Rijnveld, and the brand was established as a sister company to the renowned manufacturer Siltech. Today, both companies share development and manufacturing facilities in the Dutch town of Elst, whilst each retains its own distinct character.
