The Master Power Station Tai Chi is a reference AC power conditioner designed for Ultra Hi-End audio systems, introduced at the High End Munich 2024 show. Its concept is based on precise calibration of capacitance, resistance and inductance in order to achieve an optimal AC power balance between the mains grid and the connected components. The unit offers a dual safe output of 32 A (Tai Chi YIN) + 32 A (Tai Chi YANG), 11 synchronised resonance chips and conductors made of Oyaide SSC superconductor with 102 % IACS conductivity.
The construction is built around a multi-module composite frame and a matrix sound-field simulation architecture developed by the Telos team, which completely isolates mechanical stress of the chassis from the individual modules. The circuits employ Duelund capacitors made to Telos specification and German Mundorf capacitors, complemented by 3D-printed damping elements. Each system contains 48 special gold impedance capacitors, 4 high-capacity capacitors and a series of film capacitors made of pure silver and silver-plated materials, which ensure sufficient capacitive reserve and precise matching of capacitance to inductance.
Interference suppression is handled by several separate circuit blocks. QNR (Quantum Noise Reduction) technology activates immediately after power-up and, using reverse ripple compensation, continuously reduces noise ripple in random currents even under high load. The 1 kHz high-frequency noise reduction circuit captures interfering waves and converts them into usable electrical energy, while diverting the excess current away from the signal path. This is complemented by an eight-channel resonant filter network based on a simulated crossover concept, combining pure aluminium, silver, copper, crinkled silver and tinned precious-metal film capacitors to compensate for AC ripple dispersion and to hold the 50 Hz or 60 Hz frequency stable.
The Tai Chi YIN branch is intended for streaming players, DACs, preamplifiers, phono stages, switches and routers; the Danish-made silver, copper, aluminium, tin and silver-plated film capacitors used here contribute to a neutral and transparent presentation with an exceptionally quiet background. The Tai Chi YANG branch, with military-grade NOS paper-dielectric capacitors from the 1980s, is dimensioned for power amplifiers, linear power supplies and power-hungry devices, where it increases the available output current and dynamic headroom. A separate level of tuning is the control of supply phase and polarity, which allows the interplay of the entire system to be fine-tuned. Every unit is fully hand-assembled and undergoes 100 hours of testing and final assembly.
