The Master Earth Grounding Standard Edition is the flagship active grounding system from Telos Audio Design, introduced in 2023 as the culmination of fifteen years of GNR grounding development. The unit drains interference and induced charges from the individual components of the system, lowering the noise floor. Compared with the standard GNR model, it adds four QMT modules and two QRC modules, which increase the number of grounding points and allow noise to be drained closer to where it originates.
The design is based on a refined GNR core with an emphasis on current capacity. It uses a custom mains transformer rated at 40 W instead of the original 1 W, providing considerably greater headroom under load. The QNR circuit employs Duelund CAST tin foil capacitors rated at 630 V, a 2.5 times higher voltage rating than the 250 V used in the GNR model. Wider PCB traces with a larger conductor cross-section reduce path impedance and make it easier to drain higher current peaks. A more massive and thicker chassis suppresses resonances and the transfer of external vibrations.
Connection is provided by 12 separate WBT-0703 Cu nextgen grounding terminals with independent ground leads, twice as many as the six terminals of the standard GNR. The QMT modules act as a wideband demagnetiser and harmoniser across the 0 to 1,000,000 Hz range and homogenise stray magnetic fields, while Telos V5.1 Schumann waves at 7.83 Hz tune the key components. Together with QNR Quantum Noise Reduction technology, the system works as soon as power is connected, even in environments without a functioning earth connection.
The result of lower grounding path impedance, greater power reserve and retuned working components is a more linear response and a lower noise threshold. In practice this translates into more legible low-level detail, more precise localisation of instruments within the stereo image and calmer space between notes. The TIDAL La Assoluta system served as the reference during voicing. The weight of 45 kg and dimensions of 48.5 × 46 × 17 cm match its intended use in large-scale systems; accessories include a DC cable and twelve ground leads with Y spades, each 1.92 m long.
