The Loewe Klang Sub5 is an active wireless subwoofer designed to extend the low-frequency range of Loewe soundbars. It works with a total music power of 360 W and its response reaches down to 35 Hz, creating a dense and dynamically stable bass foundation for both film and music reproduction. The connection is made wirelessly, with no need to run a signal cable to the main audio unit.
At the heart of the mechanical design is a hexagonal, point-symmetric construction that balances the moving masses of the drivers. This layout reduces the transfer of vibrations into the cabinet and suppresses unwanted resonances, which translates into lower distortion in the deep bass region. The design also made it possible to achieve half the cabinet volume compared with traditional subwoofers, so placement in the room is more flexible even in smaller spaces.
Signal transmission is handled by Loewe Wireless Digital Audio Link (WDAL 2.0) technology, which operates in the digital domain without losses and without any noticeable delay relative to the picture. The result is a stable, interference-free connection to the Klang bar3 mr and Klang bar5 mr soundbars, with precise timing between channels being a prerequisite for correct object-based audio reproduction. The subwoofer is designed to support the Dolby Atmos format, where it contributes to the spatial stability of the scene and more accurate localisation of low-frequency effects.
Thanks to its compact dimensions and the single mains connection required, installation is simple and calls for no changes to your cabling. Combined with support for features such as Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Google Cast or DTS Play-Fi within the Loewe Klang system, this bass module becomes an integral part of a complete home audio solution.
