The StormAudio ISR Fusion 20 is an immersive receiver that combines processing and power amplification sections within a single chassis, delivering 20-channel decoding and upmixing capabilities based on the ISP Elite MK3 architecture. It supports formats such as Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced, MPEG-H, 360 Reality Audio, and Dolby TrueHD; it is Roon Ready certified and supports multi-theater, multi-layout, and multi-room configurations. According to the manufacturer, it combines the strengths of the brand's processors and amplifiers with exceptionally low noise and distortion levels.

The amplification section comprises 16 channels utilizing Edge technology from the Danish company ICE Power, operating in both single-ended and BTL (Bridge-Tied Load) modes. The manufacturer specifies an output of 150 W / 300 W in single-ended configuration and 500 W in BTL mode, with a continuous power capacity of 2,000 W and a peak capacity of 2,500 W. The configuration allows for the use of up to 10 single-ended channels and 3 BTL channels, with loudspeakers connected via five-way binding posts. The analog section is complemented by four XLR outputs for external amplification, four RCA inputs (7.1 or stereo), and a Toslink optical output for stereo downmixing to Zone 2; digital inputs consist of six S/PDIF interfaces, comprising three optical and three coaxial ports.

Video signal handling is managed by an HDMI 2.1 matrix featuring seven inputs and two outputs with ARC/eARC, HDCP 2.3, 40 Gbps throughput on all ports (supporting 4K UHD and 8K), and compatibility with HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG. Room correction is handled by Dirac Live, incorporating Room Correction, Bass Control, and Active Room Treatment modules; notably, the manufacturer claims this is the only receiver on the market to support the Active Room Treatment module supplemented by the REW plugin. Standard and expert bass management—supporting multi-way speakers and multiple subwoofers—allows for the balancing of low-frequency response and room decay, resulting in more consistent bass reproduction and more stable sound object localization.

While the unit features a fixed architecture, the manufacturer has planned for HDMI board upgrades to accommodate future specification releases. Configuration and control are handled via a web interface, the StormRemote tablet app, an IR remote control, and a TCP/IP network connection with drivers for Control4, URC, Crestron, RTI, Savant, and Nice.
