OLED TV with factory pre-calibration and the integrated dr+ recording system

The Loewe inspire 55 DR+ is a 55" German-made OLED TV that combines a factory pre-calibrated V24 EX generation OLED panel with a resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 (4K UHD) and the integrated Loewe dr+ recording system with a 1 TB SSD. The imaging chain covers the complete set of HDR formats including Dolby Vision™, HDR10, HLG and OPC, with a panel refresh rate of 120 Hz. The TV therefore works as a standalone home media centre with no need for an external player or set-top box.

The dr+ (Digital Recording plus) system is built around a triple DVB tuner (DVB-T2/C/S2 HD), which allows terrestrial, cable and satellite reception at the same time. You can record one channel while watching another, or use timeshift to pause live broadcasts. The 1 TB capacity corresponds to roughly 250–300 hours of recording in HD quality, and the SSD operates without any mechanical noise. A concealed CI CAM slot handles encrypted channels without an external module.

Every unit undergoes measurement of white point, gamma and colour space before it leaves the factory. The Master Black concept takes advantage of the physical nature of the OLED pixel, which switches off completely for black — the result is absolute black, high local contrast and legible detail in dark scenes. Frame-by-frame processing of Dolby Vision™ metadata contributes to precise tone-mapped gradation with no need for further fine-tuning by the user.

The audio section consists of a system with 80 W of power and Dolby Atmos® processing, which is ample for everyday film watching; for transmitting uncompressed audio to a soundbar or AV system there is HDMI eARC, or alternatively an optical output or the DTS Play-Fi® wireless multiroom solution. Connectivity includes 4× HDMI (two of them HDMI 2.1), USB 2.0 and 3.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 3.5 mm AUX. The Loewe os8 system provides access to Netflix, YouTube, Apple TV, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, HD+ and Zattoo, while gaming features are rounded out by ALLM and VRR. The 360° design uses cable tunnels and a removable magnetic rear cover; a swivel stand with cable management, a remote control and a power cable are included in the box.
