LOEWE inspire 48 dr+ — 48" OLED TV with the in-house Loewe OS 7 platform and a built-in recording drive

The LOEWE inspire 48 dr+ is a 48" (122 cm) Smart TV with an OLED panel that the German premium brand pairs with its own Loewe OS 7 platform. The operating system integrates streaming apps, an app store and access to video libraries directly in the TV, so there is no need for an external player or dongle. Added to this is the dr+ (digital recording+) function, i.e. a built-in hard drive for recording DVB broadcasts.

The OLED panel works with self-emissive pixels — to show black, the pixel simply switches off, with no backlight and no light leakage. The result is a contrast level that LCD panels only reach through compromises such as local dimming and at the risk of blooming. With HDR content this improves the legibility of dark passages and delivers colour accuracy independent of ambient lighting conditions, which shows above all in films with low scene brightness or in games with ambient lighting.

Loewe OS 7 is developed exclusively for LOEWE televisions and is optimised directly for the hardware of the inspire range. It does not run superfluous apps in the background, offers fast access to services such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and YouTube, and includes its own store for installing further apps. The dr+ function saves recordings to the built-in HDD, with no external PVR receiver or USB drive, and as a rule also includes timeshift — pausing live broadcasts and catching up afterwards.

Sound is handled by a built-in speaker intended for everyday reproduction; for cinematic dynamics and a spatial presentation there is an upgrade path via the LOEWE Klang system. The klang bar I soundbar connects via HDMI eARC, with volume control passing to the TV remote, while the LOEWE Home Cinema Set 531 package is intended for full 5.1-channel sound. Structurally, this is a slim profile with a narrow display bezel and a discreet base; the box contains the TV, remote control, power cable, mounting hardware for a VESA bracket and documentation, while the LOEWE Floor Stand Flex 43-65 floor stand and an HDMI cable are accessories.
