Loewe inicio – compact passive loudspeakers with PURIFI USHINDI drivers and AMT tweeter

Loewe inicio is a pair of High-End passive bookshelf loudspeakers designed for precise stereo reproduction in both living and professional spaces. The two-way configuration combines a phase-neutral AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter with a 4" mid-bass driver built on PURIFI USHINDI technology, with the acoustic loading completed by two passive 4" radiators. The system works with a sensitivity of 86 dB SPL (2.83 V / 1 m), 200 W power handling at 4 Ω and a frequency range of 45–22,000 Hz (±3 dB).

The construction is based on a sealed cabinet measuring 18.5 × 30.0 × 27.5 cm and weighing approximately 7.5 kg per unit; development and manufacturing both take place at Loewe's headquarters in Kronach. The driver uses a light and rigid alloy diaphragm, a four-layer copper-clad voice coil with a 30 mm diameter on a glass-fibre reinforced former and a vented die-cast basket, complemented by powerful neodymium magnets. The treble is loaded by a solid aluminium waveguide with a decoupling solution that limits the transfer of vibrations into the cabinet. The crossover point is at 2,900 Hz.

PURIFI Ultra Low Distortion, NeutralSurround and PermanentCore technologies reduce distortion and non-linearities of both the suspension and the magnetic circuit, which translates into a low proportion of higher harmonic components and the intelligibility of fine detail even at higher levels. Ultra-linear excursion in both directions contributes to the stability of the bass band, while the phase-neutral AMT and the optimised directivity of the waveguide support precise instrument localisation and a stable off-axis stereo image.

The connection panel offers gold-plated stereo terminals supporting banana plugs, bi-wiring and bi-amping; jumper bridges are included in the package. Separate routing of the bass and treble bands allows flexible integration into more demanding stereo systems, for example with the Loewe multi.room amp. The magnetically attached grille simplifies access to the drivers. This is an individually manufactured product, supplied as a matched pair including the manual and grilles.
