Headphone Cable Yamaha HXC-SC030 Black/Anthracite
Description
Balanced headphone cable with XLR connector for reference Yamaha headphones
The HXC-SC030 is a balanced headphone cable 3 metres in length, intended primarily for the flagship YH-5000SE headphones. The balanced wiring terminated with an XLR connector separates the signal paths of both channels and allows connection to headphone amplifiers with a balanced output. The cable is also compatible with the YH-4000 and YH-C3000 models.
The conductors are made of silver-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC), which contributes to low contact resistance and stable signal transfer along the entire length of the cable. Termination is provided by a Neutrik XLR connector, known for its mechanical durability and reliable contact even after repeated connections.
The combination of balanced wiring and the conductor materials results in higher resolution and a more spacious sound image. Separate channel routing reduces mutual interference between signals, which supports more precise instrument localisation and the legibility of fine detail in a recording.

Yamaha
Yamaha is one of the few hi-fi manufacturers that also builds concert grand pianos and wind instruments. When developing an amplifier or a speaker system, therefore, it does not have to guess what a real instrument should sound like, as it has one to hand and can compare the sound to it. This forms the basis of a principle the brand has adhered to since the 1970s, known as ‘Natural Sound’: sound without embellishment and without any inherent colouration. In 1974, this principle was established by the NS-1000 loudspeakers with beryllium drivers, and ever since it has guided everything Yamaha produces for home listening, from turntables and amplifiers right through to AV receivers and wireless systems. Anyone looking for a sound that neither enhances nor embellishes a recording in any way will find exactly that with Yamaha.
