Loewe home cinema 553 is a complete home cinema set in a 5.1.2 configuration with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support, combining a soundbar, an active subwoofer and four wireless speakers into a single surround system. The core consists of the klang bar5 mr soundbar with the sub5 subwoofer, complemented by a pair of klang mr3 and a pair of klang mr5 speakers serving as surround channels. The whole set is designed to deliver spatial reproduction of movie soundtracks as well as full-fledged music streaming.
The individual components are also multiroom and streaming speakers, so the set can be used not only as a cinema system next to your TV, but also for playing music in several zones. Splitting the channels between the soundbar, subwoofer and separate satellites makes it possible to separate bass reproduction from the mids and highs and to assign the height component of object-based audio to dedicated channels.
Decoding of object-based formats combined with two height channels contributes to a realistic 3D impression — sound objects are localised above the listener's plane and movement within the scene remains smooth. The separate subwoofer relieves the satellites of the lowest frequencies, which supports dynamics in film scenes as well as dialogue intelligibility in the centre area.
