Floorstanding speaker Blumenhofer Acoustics Fun 13 MK 2 Walnut
Description
The Blumenhofer Acoustics Fun 13 represents the absolute zenith of what is acoustically achievable using a Quarter-Wave-Length bass horn design within a living-room-friendly footprint. Standing at the top of the Fun series, this high-efficiency 2-way loudspeaker utilizes a resonance- and flow-optimized internal bass horn with complex internal bracing to achieve incredible low-frequency extension, speed, and foundation. The upper frequencies are smoothly rendered by a 19mm (3/4-inch) silk dome tweeter, perfectly blending with a fast, organic 13cm paper-cone woofer. Engineered to be tube-friendly, the Fun 13 preserves the signature Blumenhofer hallmarks—natural timbre, effortless timing, and a profound musicality—delivering a remarkably open and emotionally engaging performance.

Blumenhofer Acoustics
Blumenhofer Acoustics is a leading German company that has made a name for itself in the field of high-quality loudspeakers. It was founded in 1977 by Thomas Blumenhofer, who still personally manages the company today and oversees both development and production at the workshop nestled amidst the Bavarian forests. The brand has gained international recognition for its commitment to sonic perfection and its innovative approach to loudspeaker design, which combines experience from professional sound reinforcement with the demands of high-end home audio.
At the heart of Blumenhofer loudspeakers are highly sensitive designs featuring in-house-manufactured compression horns, large bass drivers and paper cones. Thanks to their high sensitivity, they work exceptionally well with valve and low-power amplifiers. The company places great emphasis on natural materials – the cabinets are handcrafted from birch plywood with wooden reinforcement and veneered with, for example, cherry or walnut. Many models feature adjustable bass reflex ports and tweeter positioning, allowing them to be precisely tailored to the room. The result is a fast, dynamic and balanced sound with exceptional liveliness and naturalness, bringing the atmosphere of a concert straight into your living room.
