The FRM-3 is a system remote control from MOON designed to operate two-channel components equipped with an IR receiver. Thanks to its backlit control buttons, operation remains clear even in a dimly lit listening room, which is handy when adjusting volume or switching inputs during playback.
The remote's body is machined from a solid block of aluminium, in keeping with the design approach used across the brand's other components. The one-piece metal construction contributes to greater mechanical durability and a reassuring weight in the hand; the shipping weight of the package is 0.9 kg (2 lb).
In terms of compatibility, the FRM-3 operates all two-channel MOON models that support IR control, including most older units. It also serves as a replacement and upgrade for the CRM, SRM, SRM-2, Celeste and RM-50 remotes, allowing both older and newer systems to be controlled from a single handset.
