The Diamond Series 2 range represents the entry-level, yet technically refined line of Crystal Cable, building on the knowledge gained during the development of the flagship Art Series. The aim of the range is to make the design solutions of the higher series available in a more compact and more affordable form, without compromising on conductor and insulation workmanship.
The construction stems from long-term research and development in the field of conductor metallurgy, shielding and dielectrics. It is precisely the combination of the conductor material used, its geometry and the insulating layer that determines the character of signal transfer and sets the second generation apart from the original Diamond Series.
Rigorous control of the conductive path and shielding reduces external interference and contributes to a lower noise floor. In practice, this translates into more legible microdetail, more stable instrument localisation within the stereo image and more natural dynamics, while the slim construction makes cable routing easier in real-world installations.
The Dutch company Crystal Cable has been manufacturing top-quality cables since 2004. It is led by Gabi van der Kleij-Rijnveld, and the brand was established as a sister company to the renowned manufacturer Siltech. Today, both companies share development and manufacturing facilities in the Dutch town of Elst, whilst each retains its own distinct character. Crystal Cable was founded following the development of a unique silver and gold alloy, which made it possible to create exceptionally thin, flexible and elegant cables. Their minimalist design need not be hidden behind furniture, yet they deliver sound quality that ranks amongst the very best in the world.
All Crystal Cable products are created with a single aim: to deliver a listening experience that comes as close as possible to a live concert. Silver and gold alloy conductors are complemented by multi-layer insulation and Kapton® shielding, which protect the signal from interference. The product range includes signal, speaker, power, digital, USB and network cables, as well as earthing bridges and cables for headphones and portable devices. The company also develops its own speakers with great success. All products are designed in-house and handcrafted in Elste to strict standards, which is why they connect you to music like few others can.
