The Stage III Concepts A.S.P. CKAHRON is an ultra-premium line-level analogue interconnect created to mark the brand's 25th anniversary. Together with the CERBERUS speaker cables and the POSEIDON power cords, it completes the Final Reference Line series. The design draws on the technologies used in the CERBERUS speaker cables, but has been retuned specifically for line-level signal transfer, where the final performance is decided above all by conductor optimisation. At its heart are cryogenically treated AeroStrandUltra ribbon conductors made from a silver-palladium alloy, slowly extruded to order.
The cable contains six of these conductors arranged in a triple dual-helix configuration of three individually twisted pairs. Insulation is provided by a vacuum dielectric with a nylon and FEP Teflon core, evacuated to 675 mm Hg, which reduces the amount of solid material in the immediate vicinity of the conductors. Noise rejection is handled by a radiation-resistant internal H.D.A. shield combined with an external ASPIS shield of braided metallised copper conductor and conductive nylon.
The multi-layer construction with HDA/ceramic granulates serves simultaneously as mechanical damping and additional shielding. The combination of electromagnetic and mechanical damping limits the introduction of resonances and interference into the signal path, which translates into a low noise floor, precise instrument localisation and the legibility of low-level detail without sonic artefacts. Despite the number of layers, the cable retains surprising flexibility and remains easy to install.
Termination is provided by bespoke HYPERION RCA or XLR connectors in silver alloy with virgin Teflon insulation, likewise cryogenically treated. Both the connector bodies and the cable jackets use custom-made polymer housings. Every piece is built entirely by hand from 100% in-house components, with no mass-produced parts.
