The construction is built around a multi-layer system of protection against external influences. Layers of H.D.A. (High Density Alloy) granules, solid foils, silver braids and the outer woven ASPIS™ shield form a cascade of shielding against EMI and RF interference, while at the same time acting as mechanical resonance damping. The combination of electrical shielding and anti-resonance damping lowers the noise floor to a level that conventional designs simply cannot reach.
In terms of reproduction, the low noise floor and the elimination of dielectric losses show up above all in the legibility of fine detail, the precise placement of instruments within the stereo image and stable dynamics during sudden transients. The dual cross-section of the palladium-silver conductors supports both the weight of the lower registers and the airiness of the highs, so the presentation remains tonally balanced without narrowing the frequency extremes.
Every piece is hand-built in the USA, without the use of commercially available off-the-shelf components — just like all of the brand's reference series over the past 25 years.
