Carbide Base Nano – ball-bearing vibration isolator in its most compact form

The Nano is an anti-vibration footer designed for both electronics and loudspeakers, bringing Carbide Audio's ball-bearing isolation technology into the smallest possible format. The design is built around bearing raceways of extreme hardness and low friction, achieving effective vibration isolation across a wide frequency range. Supplied in sets of three or four pieces.

The footer is available in two versions. The Standard version uses sapphire bearing raceways, while the Diamond version combines diamond bearing raceways with the high-damping TwinDamp™ alloy, which converts residual mechanical energy into heat. Each footer supports a load of up to 55 kg (121 lbs), so it handles even heavier source components, amplifiers, as well as stand-mount and floorstanding loudspeakers.

The mechanical coupling to the supporting surface can be adapted to the installation: optional spikes allow carpet penetration, while a screw-mount kit permits direct attachment to a loudspeaker or to a component's chassis. Decoupling the component from structure-borne vibration reduces modulation caused by resonances of the supporting surface, which translates into more stable localisation of instruments within the stereo image, more legible decays and a quieter recording background.
