OLED TV Loewe Callas 43

Compact 4K TV with an Edge-LED panel, Dolby Vision and an integrated front soundbar

The Loewe Callas 43 is a compact 4K smart TV with a 108 cm screen diagonal, combining a custom-made Edge-LED panel with the fast Loewe os8 platform based on Vidaa. HDR processing covers the Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG formats, so the picture works with both dynamic and static brightness metadata. The genuinely flat cabinet construction suppresses unwanted clouding and cross-dimming effects, contributing to a more uniform rendering of flat areas across the entire screen.

The panel offers a wide viewing angle, an extended colour gamut, a short response time and low power consumption. Signal processing is handled by a new, powerful main processing unit that keeps the system and apps running smoothly. Four HDMI 2.1 inputs (one with ARC/eARC) support VRR up to Ultra HD resolution, reducing screen tearing with games consoles. USB connectivity allows recording and timeshift of TV broadcasts via the premium EPG, and there is also a CI slot, LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth.

The audio section consists of an integrated front soundbar with a sealed bass-reflex enclosure and a total output of 60 W with Dolby Atmos support. The forward-facing drivers improve speech intelligibility, as the direct sound is not reflected off the walls behind the TV, and the system tuning contributes to a more stable rendering of both film effects and dialogue. Decoding covers Dolby Digital Plus, DTS and DTS HD; Apple AirPlay and DTS Play-Fi enable direct streaming and multiroom operation within the home network, as does Miracast.

The mechanical construction uses a metal supporting frame with recessed VESA 300 x 300 mm threads, integrated cable routing, concealed connections and a fabric-covered soundbar. A swivelling table stand with a genuine chrome finish is included. The TV can be complemented with the swivelling Loewe floor stand c, a floor2ceiling solution or wall mounts, including versions for Loewe klang soundbars. The aluminium-alloy remote control works via Bluetooth and offers six direct-access buttons for streaming services, a backlit cursor pad and voice control with a button-activated microphone.
