The Burmester B18 Loudspeakers represent an extraordinarily musical and space-saving 2½-way floor-standing system, redesigned with a clean, screwless aluminum front panel matching the larger B28 and B38 models. Engineered for maximum dynamic responsiveness, the B18 features a proprietary ring radiator tweeter with a titanium membrane for ultra-airy high frequencies, paired with evolved mid-bass drivers housed in a closed internal chamber for crystal-clear midrange contours. Low frequencies are delivered through a front-firing bass-reflex system, supported by an FEM-optimized MDF enclosure and a heavy-duty sandwich decoupling base that eliminates unwanted floor resonances. Featuring a rear-panel bass adjustment toggle switch and decoupled crossover housing, the handcrafted B18 delivers an expressive, transparent, and non-fatiguing high-end performance in any living space.

The German company Burmester Audiosysteme GmbH, founded in Berlin in 1977 by Dieter Burmester, sets the global benchmark for high-end audio technology. To this day, it remains an independent family-run business that combines uncompromising engineering, handcrafted production at its Berlin workshop and an unmistakable design featuring chrome front panels. It has a long history of firsts – from the world’s first modular preamplifier to the first belt-driven CD player. In 2005, it became the first high-end manufacturer to enter the automotive world, and today its sound can be heard in Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari cars.
Its product range includes pre-amplifiers and power amplifiers, phono pre-amplifiers, CD and network players, turntables, mains conditioners and loudspeaker systems. More than 95 per cent of the components come from German manufacturers, and every unit undergoes a seven-day burn-in period before dispatch, involving more than 300 computerised measurements and a final listening test. Burmester products are designed to last for decades – they are reliable, repairable and ready for future upgrades.
