Coffee maker Loewe aura.pure Basalt grey

Lever espresso machine with three thermoblocks and an integrated conical grinder for precise espresso extraction

The Loewe aura.pure is a home lever espresso machine built for brewing espresso with barista-level control over the entire process. At its core is a system of three separate thermoblocks, which cuts the warm-up time to operating temperature down to two minutes and separates heating of the brew head from the steam circuit. The 15 bar operating pressure is backed by two vibration pumps and a professional pressure gauge, so the course of the extraction can be read at any moment. The drinks menu covers Espresso, Espresso Doppio, Americano, hot milk and milk foam.

The build is based on matte lacquered steel complemented by surfaces of genuine red oak. The 58 mm brew head is chrome-plated and the portafilter handle combines stainless steel with wood. Operation runs via direct selection and a rotary control with a 1.5" LCD display, used to set the grinding time, pre-infusion and extraction length. Brewing temperature can be selected in a range of 88 – 96 °C, water is supplied by a removable 2.5-litre tank with a filter. A cup-warming area and a removable drip tray are also part of the package.

Grinding is handled by an integrated conical stainless steel grinder with a 200 g bean hopper, 66 grind-size steps and a speed of 1400 rpm. The lower speed together with the antistatic treatment limits clinging of ground coffee and contributes to even dosing straight into the portafilter. The adjustment range covers fine grinds for espresso as well as coarser ones for filter or french press. Programmable pre-infusion with ten settings evenly wets the coffee puck before extraction, which limits channelling and evens out the flavour profile, especially with lighter roasts. A grinder timer and an extraction timer let you store repeatable parameters.

Milk steaming has its own steam thermoblock with 4 bar pressure, so frothing and extraction can run at the same time without a temperature drop. The stainless steel wand with two holes and an inner hose doesn't scorch, rotates through 360° and offers five steam levels including modes for plant-based alternatives. Stable steam temperature and low humidity result in consistent microfoam suited to latte art. Accessories include two portafilters for single and double shots, double baskets, a blind basket, a tamper with a wooden element, a tamping mat, a 350 ml milk jug, brushes and a cleaning cloth.
