The ATM-300R is a stereo power amplifier in a single-ended triode configuration, the entire design of which is based on the characteristics of the directly heated 300B triode. During its development, Air Tight deliberately omitted everything not directly related to the transmission of the musical signal, focusing instead on ensuring that the character of this valve could be expressed without restriction. The result is a device that does not shape the sound with its own signature, but rather conveys it.
The design is based on a purist approach, free from unnecessary circuit elements, intended to reveal the intrinsic character of the 300B valve. Rather than adding corrective or colouring elements, the emphasis is on the purity of the signal path, which ensures that the resulting sound is defined by the valve itself rather than by the surrounding electronics.
Sonically, this approach translates into a transparent soundstage free from additive colouration. Instruments retain their own tonal colour, the timbre sounds natural, and the overall sound is characterised by the tonal realism long associated with the iconic 300B triode. The musicality here is not the result of signal processing, but of its undisturbed transmission.

The Japanese company Air Tight has earned a legendary reputation in the world of high-end audio equipment. It was founded in 1986 in Takatsuki, near Osaka, by Atsushi Miura, who had previously headed the renowned Lux Audio brand. Together with engineer Masami Ishiguro, he built a company that has become synonymous with valve amplifiers of the highest quality. Today, the company is led by his son, Yutaka ‘Jack’ Miura, who continues to uphold the original standards of craftsmanship.
Whilst the audio industry has gradually shifted towards semiconductor and digital technology, Air Tight has remained faithful to valves and their warm, natural and immersive sound. The units are hand-wired using the point-to-point method, without printed circuit boards, resulting in a cleaner signal path and a long service life. The range includes valve integrated and power amplifiers, preamplifiers, phono preamplifiers, headphone amplifiers, MC cartridges and step-up transformers. Thanks to this dedication to traditional craftsmanship, Air Tight has become an icon amongst audiophiles seeking the rich sound experience that only vacuum tubes can provide.
