The MEZE AUDIO 99 Classics in the walnut silver finish is a set of closed-back supra-aural audiophile headphones complemented by a detachable Boom Mic condenser microphone, so the package covers both music listening and voice communication. The version with walnut wood earcups and a detachable cable connected via a 3.5 mm jack reflects a design approach focused on a natural sound character and long service life.
The earcups are CNC-milled and then hand-finished, stained and polished; the walnut is air-dried, which preserves the rich figuring of its growth rings. The frame is built from cast zinc alloy hardware with an electroplated silver finish, while support is handled by a self-adjusting spring steel headband with vegan leather. The medium-density foam earpads are replaceable, as are the headband, the cable and the driver — the headphones are conceived as fully serviceable.
An impedance of 32 Ω and a sensitivity of 103 dB allow them to be driven sufficiently even from portable players and laptops without a separate headphone amplifier. The closed wooden construction damps internal resonances and limits ambient noise ingress, which contributes to the legibility of midrange detail and stable instrument localisation across the stereo panorama. The 15 – 25,000 Hz frequency range covers the entire audible band with a calm, naturally voiced presentation.
The Boom Mic attaches whenever needed, so the same headphones serve for focused listening as well as for calls or gaming, with no compromise in the design of the headphone section itself. The package includes an audio cable, an adapter connector and a carrying case.
