The Soulution 787 is a reference turntable with linear groove tracking, built on an unconventional principle: instead of a sliding arm, the entire platter moves laterally beneath the arm. The eight-inch pivoted arm with minimal deflection is mounted on an isolated sub-chassis with controlled resonances, so it remains constantly aligned with the linear tracking path. Thanks to this, the groove tracking error stays within a maximum of 0.15°, from the outermost to the innermost groove of the record.
The complete platter sub-assembly consists of the platter, a sub-platter with a high-precision sintered, low-friction magnetic bearing and a drive motor with precious-metal contacts. The whole assembly glides along polished shafts beneath the arm, while the arm's position is monitored by ultra-precise inductive proximity sensors that control the lateral traverse motor. Power is supplied by a switch-mode supply with efficient DC-DC converters and extremely low-noise, fast linear regulators that generate all operating voltages.
The architecture of the 787 eliminates the friction and unbalanced forces typical of conventional linear tonearms, where the arm is drawn toward the inner grooves by lateral forces at the outer edge of the record. At the same time, it retains the advantages of a low-friction pivoted arm, but without skating force, tracking error or demanding geometric setup. The result is stable guidance of the stylus in the groove, precise localisation of instruments within the stereo image and a clarity of detail that does not change even in the final passages of the record.
The arm is also compatible with high-compliance cartridges, uses precious-metal alloy wiring and allows adjustment of both VTA and azimuth. Once the platter moves to its parking position, the arm swings aside, making record changes easier. The turntable offers 33 and 45 rpm speeds and one pair of RCA outputs.

Swiss manufacturer Soulution Audio represents the pinnacle of ultra-high-end audio engineering. The brand was founded in Dulliken, Switzerland, by Cyrill Hammer and Roland Manz, managing directors of Spemot—a renowned Swiss precision engineering firm specialized in electric motors and custom electronics. Driven by a passion for music and a desire to transcend the limitations of existing reference equipment, they set out to create audio electronics characterized by extreme speed, surgical accuracy, infinite dynamic scaling, and zero tonal coloration.
Leveraging Swiss manufacturing expertise alongside an elite team of engineers, Soulution officially launched its reference line of amplifiers, preamplifiers, and digital sources around 2005–2006. Soulution components incorporate ultra-fast circuit topologies, massive power supplies, and uncompromising current control, allowing loudspeakers to reveal the subtle micro-details of a recording with effortless naturalness. Hand-built in Switzerland to exacting standards, Soulution products are designed for audiophiles who demand absolute sonic truth, uncompromised signal purity, and sovereign speaker control.
