Description

The Burmester 232 Integrated Amplifier represents a revolutionary leap forward, ushering in Burmester’s next-generation design language while setting a new benchmark for high-performance streaming integrated amplifiers. Featuring a sculptural 360-degree chassis with thermally optimized, radiating heat sinks and classic mirror-chrome accents, the 232 seamlessly bridges pure analogue performance with cutting-edge digital versatility. Its core architecture relies on a true dual-mono design with a oversized power transformer and complete isolation between analogue and digital domains. Fully modular, the 232 can be tailored with a reference 32-bit/768kHz DAC streaming module (supporting Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Roon) and a high-end Phono stage derived from the iconic 077 and 100 preamplifiers. Controlled via an adaptive rotary knob with tactile haptic feedback or the intuitive Burmester Conduct app, the 232 delivers uncompressed dynamic authority, pristine spatial accuracy, and timeless luxury.

Burmester

The German company Burmester Audiosysteme GmbH, founded in Berlin in 1977 by Dieter Burmester, sets the global benchmark for high-end audio technology. To this day, it remains an independent family-run business that combines uncompromising engineering, handcrafted production at its Berlin workshop and an unmistakable design featuring chrome front panels. It has a long history of firsts – from the world’s first modular preamplifier to the first belt-driven CD player. In 2005, it became the first high-end manufacturer to enter the automotive world, and today its sound can be heard in Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari cars.

Its product range includes pre-amplifiers and power amplifiers, phono pre-amplifiers, CD and network players, turntables, mains conditioners and loudspeaker systems. More than 95 per cent of the components come from German manufacturers, and every unit undergoes a seven-day burn-in period before dispatch, involving more than 300 computerised measurements and a final listening test. Burmester products are designed to last for decades – they are reliable, repairable and ready for future upgrades.
