The Burmester 151 MK2 Musiccenter serves as the high-performance music server and streamer of the Top Line series, directly inheriting the core technological breakthroughs of the Reference 111. Designed to process massive digital libraries with lightning speed, the 151 MK2 features an audiophile CD ripper with advanced multi-read error correction, a selectable 24-bit/192kHz upsampling DAC with custom clock regeneration, and a fully balanced, DC-coupled analogue signal path. Uniquely equipped with a true analogue volume control stage, it retains maximum resolution at low listening levels, allowing it to function as a standalone digital hub or as a high-end preamplifier connected directly to power amps or active speakers. Enclosed in Burmester's signature mirror-chrome fascia and handcrafted in Berlin, the 151 MK2 offers effortless dynamic drive, razor-sharp digital precision, and total sonic purity.

The German company Burmester Audiosysteme GmbH, founded in Berlin in 1977 by Dieter Burmester, sets the global benchmark for high-end audio technology. To this day, it remains an independent family-run business that combines uncompromising engineering, handcrafted production at its Berlin workshop and an unmistakable design featuring chrome front panels. It has a long history of firsts – from the world’s first modular preamplifier to the first belt-driven CD player. In 2005, it became the first high-end manufacturer to enter the automotive world, and today its sound can be heard in Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari cars.
Its product range includes pre-amplifiers and power amplifiers, phono pre-amplifiers, CD and network players, turntables, mains conditioners and loudspeaker systems. More than 95 per cent of the components come from German manufacturers, and every unit undergoes a seven-day burn-in period before dispatch, involving more than 300 computerised measurements and a final listening test. Burmester products are designed to last for decades – they are reliable, repairable and ready for future upgrades.
